Agreement Express
Agreement Express is the “fast lane” for people who already have an agreement and just need the Court to make it official. If you and the other party have already worked out a deal – whether it is about parenting time, child support, school location, or other issues – Agreement Express lets you bring that agreement to court and have it approved the same day. No extra hearing, no long wait.
What it covers:
- Changes to an existing court order (such as parenting time, child support, or school location)
- Agreements in cases that are still open
- Agreements in cases that have already been closed
What happens?
- Both parties come to court with the written agreement.
- A magistrate reviews and hears the agreement the same day and closes the case, if applicable.
This service is a good fit if:
- You and the other party already agree on what you want the Court to approve.
- You want to get your agreement finalized quickly without scheduling a separate hearing.
- You have a closed case and need to update a prior court order.
- You have an open case and believe that you have resolved all issues.
How to Get Started:
- Your case will be referred to Settlement Week by court staff, or you or your attorney may request a referral.
- Once referred, the Court will contact you to set your date and time.
- If accepted for Agreement Express you will receive additional instructions with your session details.
