#WearBlue

đź’™ Yesterday we wore #WearBlue for Child Abuse Prevention Month.

The blue ribbon is the national symbol of child abuse awareness — a reminder of the bruises left on children who need our protection and voices who cannot yet speak for themselves.

At the Summit County Domestic Relations Court, we are committed to keeping children safe every single day. Here’s how:

🔵 We issue Civil Protection Orders (CPOs) to shield children and families from domestic violence

🔵 Our Children Who Witness Violence Drop-In Center provides trauma-informed care for children while families access court services

🔵 The Family Recovery Court connects parents struggling with addiction or mental health challenges to treatment — keeping families together safely

🔵 The “Remember the Children” program ensures every divorcing parent puts their children’s needs first

🔵 Guardians ad Litem are appointed to represent the voice and best interests of children in custody cases

But we don’t do this alone. We are proud to partner alongside agencies like the @Victim Assistance Program, @Summit County Children Services, the @Battered Women’s Shelter, and other community organizations to ensure families have access to the full circle of support they need.

Child abuse prevention is a community responsibility. 💙 Wear blue today, and stand with Summit County’s children all month long.
