2025 Annual Fatherhood Walk

On September 18th the Court joined the celebration as families gathered for the  Annual Fatherhood Walk—celebrating the vital role Fathers and Father figures play in raising strong, healthy children.

Because of  Administrative Judge Katarina Cook  and Magistrate Rebecca DiDonato Heimbaugh’s board membership with the Summit County Fatherhood Collaborative, an invitation wase extended to all Court employees to volunteer. The Court recognized and appreciates court employees and volunteers  Tom McLaughline, Latonya Lewis-Becton, Courtney Crew and Magistrate Rebecca DiDonato Heimbaugh helping lift up the Collaborative’s mission: reminding our community just how much fathers matter in the lives of children.

We know children can thrive in many family structures. Some are lifted by the love and partnership provided by both parents. Others flourish in the dedication of a single parent. Both paths deserve recognition, and we are glad to give a shout out to all the Fathers and Father figures who play a role, not just at events like this, but everyday.
