Randy Flick, LSW, Family Court Services Director

randy-flick Randy Flick is a graduate of Grace College and is a licensed Social Worker in the state of Ohio.  Prior to coming to the court he worked for both the public and private sector and was honored as Social Worker of the Year, 1997-1998 1998.  He started with the court as an evaluator in 2000, became trained as both a mediator and a parent coordinator and eventually became the Director of Family Court Services in 2008.  As the Director he oversees the staff of five social workers, processes all referrals to mediation and evaluation, acts as a facilitator for the courts programs, speaks at colleges and other agencies regarding the court process and also carries a caseload of both evaluations and mediations.  He is currently serving as a liaison to the Judicial  College for the Supreme Court of Ohio, developing and creating training statewide for the social work staff in the state.  He also sat on the committee to develop the Supreme Court guidelines for Parent Coordination.  He is the past secretary to the Community Aids Network (CAN) of Summit County and volunteered with the Jaycees of Akron.  A native of the Pittsburgh area he has been a Summit County resident for over 45 years and is proud of the services that our county has to offer.  His favorite times are spent with his family and five dogs

Nancy Crawford, LSW, Evaluator

Nancy Crawford, Licensed Social Worker graduated with a BA in Sociology in 1978 and has worked in Child Welfare since that time.  Ms. Crawford was an Intake Worker at Summit Children’s Services for over thirteen years, served as the social worker at Decker Family Development Center in Barberton for over nine years thereafter,  and has been with the court Since August of 2000 serving with a team of evaluators for the Court.

Emily Nugent, LSW, Evaluator

Emily Nugent is a graduate of The University of Akron and is a licensed Social Worker in the state of Ohio.  Prior to  coming to the court, Emily worked for Greenleaf Family Center in their Teen Parent Program.  She started with the court as an evaluator in 2011, and she has been trained to be a mediator for the court as well.  Emily carries a caseload of both evaluations and mediations, and she also acts as a facilitator for the courts’ many programs and classes.  She is a recent graduate of the Child and Family Leadership Exchange, which is program that promotes collaboration and excellence in leadership among Summit County professionals serving children and families.  Emily was born and raised in Akron, Ohio and has been a Summit County resident for 28 years and counting!  She is proud to live in a community that helps to strengthen individuals and families through the many services that SummitCounty has to offer.  Emily loves spending her free time with her family, friends and her spoiled little dog.

Julie Roberts, LSW, Evaluator

Julie Roberts is a graduate of The University of Akron and is a licensed Social Worker in the state of Ohio.  She has 14 years of experience in the field.   Julie is trained in mediation specializing in family and divorce matters.  Julie has been with the Summit County Domestic Relations Court since May, 2012.  She is currently enrolled on Child and Family Leadership Exchange, a program that promotes collaboration and excellence in leadership among Summit County professionals serving children and families.  She is also a graduate of the Summit County Cluster program.
